Montreal, June 4, 2024 – Les Équipements Médicaux Leika ltée (Leika), a family-owned business specializing in the distribution and rental of wound care and pain relief products, announces the sale of the company to a new team of shareholders. The transaction, which closed on June 1, 2024, led to the transfer of all shares to Angus Capital, France-Eliane Nolet and Jean-François Tanguay. Having been part of the Leika family for 21 years, Tanguay will remain a shareholder in the company and will continue to be involved as a strategic advisor.  

Angus Capital is a private equity fund specializing in the acquisition of Quebec SMEs in traditional industries. Its team is led by a group of multidisciplinary entrepreneurs who are actively involved in executing the growth plans of the companies in which they invest.  

Nolet will serve as Leika’s new president. In this role, she will draw on more than 25 years of experience in the business world, her compassionate and unifying leadership style and her strong interpersonal and communication skills. Her expertise in organizational management and focus on talent development and financial stability will benefit the company’s growth. Building on Leika’s solid foundation, she will work closely with the team to drive the company forward into new markets. Nolet will be supported by Tanguay, who will serve as a strategic advisor.  

The new owners are committed to working together to ensure an optimal transition and the success of the company’s next phase of growth.
